-What period does the Middle Ages cover?
The Middle Ages (or medieval period) lasted from the 5th to the 15th century. It began with the fall of the Western Roman Empire and merged into the Renaissance and the Age of Discovery.
-What general characteristics does it have?(according to the teacher's comment)
1. Two stages: -high Middle Ages
-low Middle Ages
2. Feudalism, in which different social classes were distinguished: the nobility, the clergy and the peasants.
3. The crusades:wars to conquer the land of the Middle East
4. Agriculture:
5. Culture:many writings, mystical stories,different religions...
6. Theocentrism:political system governed by the Church and the clergy.
7. The renacisme movements
-What is the main diference between"troubadours" and "minstrels"?
A minstrel was a servant first employed as a travelling entertainer and then as a castle or court musician.
A troubadour is an itinerant composer and performer of songs in medieval europe.
-What do you feel looking at these pictures?In your opinion,what kind of music coud accompany these images?
When I look at this picture I feel relax,fine,that I'm in a good ambient...
In my opinion I could accompany the firt picture with a celtic music,the second one with sounds of birds and harps and the last one I could put a romanic music with flutes and harps at the background.
-Why does heavy metal music loves this aesthetic?
Because it's relatinated with Middle Ages(win waars,conquits castles and terrritories,gentlemen riding horses...)-This is the song that we are playing in music class with flute(Santa Maria Strela do dia):
